In Back to the Future Part II, as film buffs may recall, Marty McFly transported himself to Oct. 21, 2015, to save his children.
So Toyota is marking the day with a recreation of McFly’s dream truck, a 1985 Toyota Tacoma.
Got all of that?
But the clever part in this is Toyota took a 2016 Tacoma – which the company is currently promoting heavily – and made a modern-day version of the McFly dream truck.
The 2016 Tacoma, painted in a 1985 Toyota truck color, features an off-road suspension, Toyota Racing Development wheels, a light bar and even mud flaps from the ’85 Tacoma.
Toyota is staging similar events in Los Angeles and New York. Dallas Morning News / Terry Box writer
